          <datacite:description xml:lang="en" descriptionType="Abstract">It is well known that manyc harged particles are generated by the disruption of liquid.Th is phenomenon
is called the Lenard effect. One of the authors clarified that the negatively charged fog is generated
around山ejet when tile water is ejected from an ou.le at the laminar flow (m邸 .3.2m/s).T he purpose
of tllis report is to investigate the generation of the charged fog by lligh-speed ejection of pure water at
turbulent flow. The maximum ejected velocity is 52.5m/s. Experimental results show tllat positively
charged fog is generated from ap ositively charged jet,th erefore the charged fog polarity agrees with the
polarity of the jet. The generation current of the charged fog or the streaming current depends on山e
ejected velocity v, of v" (n=3.5). Negatively charged fog is also generated simultaneously, and its
particle size is sm叫erthan a positively charged particle size. Further, the amount of cl皿gedfog
depends on not only the ejected velocity but also resistivity of the sample water. The generation current
on ejection increases with resistivity of the water.It is considered that the factor dominating the amount
and the polarity of charged fog at the turbulent flow is streaming electrification of jet rather than tl記
Lenard effect.</datacite:description>
