The torsion-extruded specimen tended to form a strong <0001> texture along the extrusion axis, especially in the center region of the cross section. In contrast, the conventional extrusion sample was composed of many grains having <0001> direction perpendicular to the extrusion axis. The torsion-extruded specimen had a low strength and a good compressive ductility at high temperature, and also a high strength of about twice of the as-received specimen at room temperature.
