Since CaCl2・2H2O is a low melting point material, we succeeded in synthesizing a high purity sample by modifying the nominal composition and considering the sintering conditions (temperature and time). Artificially iron doped and synthesized Rondorfite, Ca8(Mg1-xFex)(SiO4)4Cl2 was colored in pink after ultraviolet irradiation.
