An Exercise in Fundamental Chemistry', which is held in the first semester of the first grader, is the complementary subject in the Department of Applied Chemistry. We attempted to construct a new and effective educational system in 'the Exercise in Fundamental Chemistry'. The educational systems are based on the following ones; 1) Students work on problems during 'the Exercise in Fundamental Chemistry'. 2) Authors (Yamaguchi and Morikawa) mark problems and then they send problems to tutors (Atsumi and Takahashi) of the Scholastic Achievement Support Center. 3) Students correct mistakes of their own problems with the tutors of the Scholastic Achievement Support Center. 4) Students ask their own questions to the tutors, and they deepen their understanding of chemistry. From evaluation forms, almost students approve this educational system effectively. |
