After the Great East Japan Earthquake, Home Energy Management System (HEMS) attracts attention for using a method to conserve electric power consumption. There are several studies on HEMS such as automatic generation of power saving advice and a model of gamification to incent users' behaviors. However, a problem of the former is to consider only demand of electric power. For generating advice, we need consider not only demands but also consumption. In the latter, a method for continual utilization is insufficient because there is no efforts when a user achieved a mission. This paper develops a HEMS user interface for conserving electric power consumption. The interface has two functions. First function notifies power saving advice by animation characters. Second function is to increase incentive for conserving electric power consumption by a game. This paper evaluates each function by questionnaires. |
