| 内容記述 | Five concepts related to environmental pollution were rated by 112 students on 15 7-point semantic differential scales. Factor analysis was administered to the correlation matrix of the 15 pairs of scales at each concept. Extractcd factors were named as follows: the unknown, dangerousness, catastrophe, dreadfulness, and impossibility. It seemed that these factors were peculiar to the concepts connected with the nuclear power. Furthermore, it was found by the cluster analysis that an earthquake as a natural disaster was different from the other four technological concepts. The profile of 15 variables also showed that an earthquake was an uncontrollable old risk, and the dounen was a controllable new risk. However it is possible that the accident of the dounen changed the image in opposite direction and aroused a feeling of helplessness. | |||||||||
