内容記述タイプ Abstract
内容記述 Today at issue is the problem of environmental degradation. Many ecologists in general believe that the destruction of environment started only in recent years under the influence of F. Bacon's and Descartes' philosophy of conquering nature. However, this view is somewhat one-sided, for we can trace it back into the Middle Ages and even into the Ancient Greece. Indeed, civilization and the destruction of nature have been going on hand in hand. Even in Asia, where nature was traditionally not an object to be conquered by man, we simply allowed ourselves to the mass-destruction thereof. Then, what sort of metaphysics is needed in the coming century? The auther believes that it shall be a philosophy of organism, of which the most fundamental logic should be nagation-containing dialectic. This, furthermore, should admit and accept the theory of multi-fields and interreaction. In the mean time, Kitarô Nishida of Japan ellaborated on the field-theory of the absolute nothingness on the basis of mahayana Buddhism. The auther, however, thinks it better to stay a step before such an absoluteness. Meanwhile, Àlaya-vijñàna in vijñàna Buddhism seems to provide us with abundant insight into the matter. There, every entity is non-substantial and is co-related to one another in vague harmoney with the progress of the whole universe, making and negating, accumlating even the minutest vibrations. Also there, objective concepts, such as a material world or objects, are only valid in static sense of relatively short period. All things considered, a coming philosophy of organism shall be based on such a flexible dialectic as its final reference.
