This paper describes the necessity of a welfare machine and the essential items on the development of a welfare machine in terms of the physical and mental characteristics of aged people that we have studied through volunteer activities, nursing care lessons, and the research activities at the university laboratory. Up to now how to improve the nursing care for aged people who need others' help has been the main subject of the care for aged people, but from now how to keep the health of aged people and how to live positively should also be regarded as important subjects. We believe that a welfare machine can play important roles for the purpose under the shortage of workers. |
