In some colleges of Engineering in Japan, there are growing interests in new type of classes which are called "classes for promoting creativity." This interest comes from the fact that many college students in Japan are losing their enthusiasms for studies and classes. The new classes are thought to enhance their willingness to study and eventually promote creativity among them. In this paper, examples of such classes have been shown. These classes have just started in the year 2002 in the department of Applied Chemistry. One of them was done in a large class where about 100 students registered and the other two of them were done in an experimental class where about 16 students were taking the experiment at the same time. |
