The Gini coefficient is widely used as an index of the inequality in the field of sociology. On the other hand, it was pointed out that the Gini coefficient expresses only the diffusion of money and it is inaccurate expression of the diffusion of wealth at mental level (Sen, A.K, Atkinson, A.B). In this paper, three new indexes of inequality by which the diffusion of wealth at mental level can be expressed are proposed. The three new indexes are shown as equations of Eq.(5-1), Eq.(5-2) and Eq.(5-3) respectively. In addition, these new indexes of inequality were compared with other indexes, including Gini coefficient with income data of developed nations. |
