This study aimed to clarify the factors that promote a smooth home return of elderly from Geriatric Health Services Facility, by investigating support activities associated with return and responses from family members about receiving elderly members back into their homes. We performed an interview survey of 5 nurses (2 senior nurses, 1 staff nurse, and 2 nurses) at Geriatric Health Services Facility in Tokyo. Semi-structured interviews were performed and interview contents were summarized as individual data using unique IDs. Data were then classified into categories and sub-categories according to conceptual commonality and differences. The results revealed that the factors that promote smooth home return formed 15 subcategories within 10 categories. |
